GSA Products
Having been awarded a “Multiple Award Schedule” contract with the United States General Services Administration (GSA) allows Gladding-Hearn to list select standard vessels on a “Federal Supply Schedule,” published by the GSA. Eligible government agencies can purchase off-the-shelf, commercial products at pre-negotiated terms and prices from vendors who hold schedule contracts, thus streamlining traditional government purchasing procedures.
Ten of our standard, all-aluminum and steel vessels are currently listed with the GSA. They include a shallow-draft 52-foot fire boat, with pump capacity of over 5,000 gpm, and a 36-foot patrol/rescue boat. In addition, there is an 80-foot, 70-foot and 65-foot tug.
Our larger high-speed, offshore-boarding port security and command vessels, based on a long history as the nation’s leading pilot boat builder, include our 40-foot Resilient Class rigid-bottom, soft-sided patrol boat and 53-foot Chesapeake Class and 64-foot port security vessels – all designed by C. Raymond Hunt & Associates of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Together, the two firms have designed and built more than 80 pilot boats since 1978, when we joined forces to produce the first deep-V pilot boat. Since then, Gladding-Hearn has also delivered more than a two dozen patrol boats to cities, towns, state and federal agencies and fire boats to the city of New York and the United States Army. All ten vessels, listed with the GSA, are offered with a variety of outfit and propulsion options.
